January 17th, 2012A week ago, my sister came over to my house to pay me a visit. When I saw her, I couldn’t help but notice the Chamilia jewellery on her wrist. I asked her, “Hey isn’t that a charm bracelet from Chamilia?” She confirmed that it was.
We sat down and she showed off the bracelet to me, explaining the symbolism behind each charm. I was impressed and told her I’d always wanted a Chamilia charm bracelet but felt it was too expensive. My sister argued that it was actually quite affordable. I didn’t believe her so she showed me a website that sold Chamilia jewellery at discounted prices. When I saw the price of the charm bracelet on this website, I was surprised. I couldn’t believe that I had never thought of buying the bracelet from an online store.
I chose the charms I wanted and ordered my very own charm bracelet right away. Three days later, it arrived at my doorstep. The iTunes news reports that Apple is making it even easier for customers to access the items in the iTunes store, they are doing this by adding pop up windows for quick access to content such as previews and other details. An Italian news site who first broke the story has said that this helpful tweak to the store when accessed through a computer allows you to access information on content such as songs, albums, videos and applications via a pop up window rather than needing to click through to a separate page that is displayed on the store.

I Can Finally Take Care of Myself Properly
January 21st, 2012After looking for a really good hemet dentist, I finally found one that is close to my home and has the facility that I can trust my dental health to. Sometimes I just go into a place that does not feel quite right, and I do not like it at all. I think that what matters the most right now is probably the fact that I can finally put my life together. I have never really been able to do this before, but things are definitely getting better for me. I am just so much happier now that I do not have to choose which type of health care I should receive. I do not have to balance my money between vision care or dental care, and things are definitely getting so much better for me. All that I can say is that I am a happier person. Lusting After a Beautiful L’Agence Dress
January 19th, 2012There was this really beautiful dress that keeps me beckoning from the window of the L’Agence shop. For a long time I tried resisting its lure. I was trying to save some money and buying a L’Agence dress is not part of the money saving plan that I drew up. It was the opposite of the plan that I had.
The dress was however very seductive. It kept waving to me from the window, beckoning me to go inside, tempting me to take a look at the other pretty L’Agence dresses that were residing inside the store. When I tried to look away, it would shout my name and call me.
The beckoning game lasted for a week. After the end of the week I could not resist it any longer. I had to get inside the store. My plan was just to take a look at the dresses. I will just feel them, touch them, and smell them and then I will go home.

We say something has been designed when it hasn’t happened accidentally – someone had a plan, a purpose for doing something, and then executed it. It follows that the more purpose there appears to be in a design, the more effective it will be in communicating a message. A graphic designer should therefore have a clear purpose behind every design decision. There should be reasoning behind the colour chosen, the font used, the layout etc. The problem is when the client says something like “I think it will look better in this colour”.
