I believe you are going to enjoy organic gardening. But, choosing the right plants to start out with that will give you a bountiful harvest is the best way to keep you and your family motivated with gardening. I’ve chosen eleven of my easiest vegetables to grow. After you’ve achieved your first year of success with these you’ll want to move along to fruits and nuts. These two below are easy vegetables to grow.

Carrots

You can plant these in your garden or you can plant them in a container that is adequately deep enough to handle this root plant. Rocky soil will make the carrots crooked. So, if you want a perfect looking carrot be sure to plant them in good, rock free soil. These veggies are ready to harvest when their tops reach the top of the soil. There are many varieties of carrots. Just look them up on line and see what you prefer. Try several different kinds. As with any new plant for your organic garden it is always best to start them in doors 4-6 weeks before the last frost.

Green Beans

One of my favorites is the traditional green bean, the Kentucky Wonder. It is often called a string bean, snap bean or green bean and often can be a variety of colors. Kentucky Wonder beans can be a pole bean or a bush bean and usually take about 60-70 days to mature. Plant them about 1 inch deep and about 4 inches apart. They enjoy full sunlight and usually take about a week to germinate. To ensure proper germination you may want to start these indoors as you’ll have more success when you transplant them to your organic garden. You can pick them regularly as they’ll continue to provide you with a bountiful harvest consistently. Start them in doors 4-6 weeks before the last frost then transfer them to your garden.

Some Tips for Maintaining a Wooden Shed

Sheds don’t have to be boring storage solutions. A standard build-it-yourself shed can be modified using wooden shed plans or shed kits and transformed into a workshop, cabin, poolhouse, or even home office. Details such as barn style doors, cedar shingles, shutters, windows and window boxes add style and charm.

Rows of paving slabs make a simple, yet effective base, especially if you may be moving your shed in future years. Treated timbers beams are slated as the easiest method, but won’t last as long as a concrete base. Foundation kits make the job easier. You should maintain your shed for optimal quality and appearance. It is recommended that exterior wooden parts be treated within six months of installation and annually after that.

You should also regularly oil any moving parts such as locks and door or opening window hinges. You should also keep an eye on the roof and replace any deterioration to prevent water seeping into the roof.

A bistro set is generally thought of as a small, round table with two matching chairs – often made of wrought iron. This type of bistro set is certainly a popular choice, particularly for balconies and small patio areas, or even backyards. For single people or couples with no children living at home, these sets are ideal, as they look attractive and don’t take up too much space. They are the ideal place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee, a lunchtime snack or a glass of wine in the evening.

However, these days, the term ‘bistro set’ is often applied to larger table and chair sets which are more commonly known as ‘patio sets’. These sets are made from a wide variety of materials and colours and can seat a family of four … or sometimes even more. Wooden ones are popular – particularly those with coloured padded cushions and a matching parasol, although some people prefer aluminium or wicker. Whether you use the term ‘bistro set’ or ‘patio set’, just make sure it’s the right set for you.
